Geri is desperate to return to the U.S., but leaving Africa won’t be easy. When a threat on her life forces them to flee together, Bart risks everything to protect her, only to learn that crossing an ocean can’t keep the past from catching up.

As old wounds and buried secrets rise to the surface, Bart must face his tangled legacy of adoption, betrayal, and a love strong enough to face the pain he’s never spoken aloud.

But just as new hope blooms, the past returns, reminding them that true redemption always costs more than you’re willing to pay.
Can love survive when the past refuses to stay buried…

I hope this little snippet encourage and spur you on as you live as a Vessel for Him. And if you have any comments or insights, I welcome it as always.

Introduction

In a world that screams for attention, stillness is a whisper that only the heart can hear. It's a rare and precious commodity, one that's often overlooked in the chaos of modern life. Yet, it's in the stillness that we find the strength, peace, and power to navigate life's turbulent waters. This devotional journey invites you to step away from the noise and rediscover the sacred art of quieting your soul before God. Whether you're a busy parent, a driven professional, or simply someone seeking solace in the midst of life's storms, this journey is for you.

As we embark on this path together, let's fix our gaze on the One who speaks calm into the chaos: "Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10). These words, penned by the psalmist, hold a profound truth that can transform our lives. Stillness isn't just a feeling; it's a choice. It's a decision to quiet the mind, calm the heart, and listen to the whispers of God. In the midst of turmoil, stillness is a declaration of trust. It's a statement that says, "I may not have control over my circumstances, but I have control over my heart. And in this stillness, I will seek God."

This devotional eBook is designed to guide you through 30 days of exploring the power of stillness. Each day will include a scripture, a reflection, and a prayer to help you deepen your understanding of God's presence in your life. As you journey through these pages, I encourage you to approach stillness with an open heart and mind. Don't worry if your mind wanders or if you find it challenging to quiet your thoughts. The goal isn't perfection; it's presence. It's about showing up before God, day after day, and allowing Him to speak into your life.
